International Multilingual Journal of Contemporary Research is an international peer-reviewed Journal. It publishes research papers focused on contemporary issues from every aspect of the business and economics, humanities and the social sciences, and science and technology. This is the only journal of American Research Institute for Policy Development which is published in various languages as per the choice of the author. The journal follows double-blind peer review process. The journal seeks original manuscripts that provide theoretically informed empirical analyses of worldwide contemporary issues, as well as original theoretical or conceptual analyses.

The journal is published by the American Research Institute for Policy Development that serves as a focal point for academicians, professionals, graduate and undergraduate students, fellows, and associates pursuing research throughout the world.

The interested contributors are highly encouraged to submit their manuscripts/papers to the executive editor via e-mail at editor@aripd.org. L’épigraphie grecque et latine au Proche-Orient (Jordanie, Liban, Syrie)

Colloque international de Lyon, organisé par Pierre-Louis Gatier, Julien Aliquot et Jean-Baptiste Yon20-21 février 2015, MSH MOM, LyonEn Jordanie, au Liban et en Syrie, l’épigraphie grecque et latine a connu au cours de ces dernières années un développement important avec, depuis 2008, la parution dans la collection des Inscriptions grecques et latines de la Syrie, en plus du Choix d’inscriptions grecques et latines de la Syrie, de six nouveaux volumes du corpus (IGLS XI ; IGLS XXI, 5, 1 ; IGLS XIII, 2 ; IGLS XVII, 1 ; IGLS XV, 1 et 2), dont les deux derniers en 2014. Le premier volume de la série des IGLS avait été publié en 1929 et depuis lors le programme a fortement évolué. D’autres entreprises savantes et d’autres publications d’ensembles d’inscriptions sont également venues enrichir les connaissances sur l’épigraphie du Proche-Orient dans les différentes langues utilisées dans l’Antiquité. Le colloque permettra de faire le point des avancées récentes, mais aussi de réunir des chercheurs qui travaillent sur les mêmes régions afin de renforcer le réseau scientifique des épigraphistes du Proche-Orient. La présentation d’inscriptions inédites et de dossiers épigraphiques en cours sera l’occasion de faire avancer les connaissances et de diffuser l’information.
À l’heure où le Proche-Orient connaît des bouleversements sans précédents, l’activité scientifique évolue. Par ailleurs, l’édition des recueils d’inscriptions, soumise à de nouvelles contraintes matérielles, peut bénéficier des innovations techniques apportées par les technologies nouvelles. Le colloque contribuera à la mise à jour des programmes et des méthodes de publication.
Le colloque international de Lyon réunira, autour des Directeurs des Antiquités de la Jordanie, du Liban et de la Syrie, la Directrice du laboratoire HiSoMA (UMR 5189, Université Lyon 2, CNRS, Maison de l’Orient et de la Méditerranée), directrice du programme des IGLS, les Directeurs de l’Institut français du Proche-Orient (Ifpo), éditeur et soutien des IGLS, et les membres du programme, ainsi que des savants venus d’Europe, du Proche-Orient et d’Australie pendant deux journées, les 20 et 21 février 2015. Les communications seront publiées dans un dossier de Syria, revue publiée à Beyrouth par l’Ifpo.

14. Articles for Collective Book on "Food and Religion in Egypt and in the Ancient
Near East"

The purpose of the book that will be edited at the Ifao, is to determine the role of
food in religion – myths and ritual practices – as well as to try and define how
religion impose its mark on eating habits. Based on a comparative approach, it will
bring together case studies and synthesis works, which will include Egypt,
Mesopotamia, Anatolia and Levant, from the third millennium B.C. until late
Antiquity.

	HEALTH IN THE MAGHREB, THE MIDDLE EAST AND AFRICA The Maghreb Review, Volume 34. 1, 2009 was devoted to this topic. We intend to continue publishing original studies on this subject in the future. Therefore, we welcome papers in English or French from specialists. History has shown us that Mankind has always been the focus of the studies that are based on different perspectives of various scientific disciplines. Our attention in future issues is to draw attention to the degrees of success, and to the problems encountered by health planners in the Maghreb, the Middle East and Africa, and to produce ways of providing information for related research and health care in the future. Governments should as far as possible involve local communities and not just insurance companies, who see patients as customers. We welcome original contributions on the following topics: 1. Religion: prohibitions of certain medical practices in Islam and other faiths, in particular those such as human tissue in organ transplantation and cloning: (Ḥadīth, Fatwās, Qurʾān and Bible); 2. Sex: practices; Aids, policy and practice. 3. Economics: medicine: cost vs quality vs equity and safety. 4. Regulatory mechanisms, particularly in the import of medicines. 5. Humanitarian and Philanthropic contributions: We welcome original articles analysing the rule of philanthropic organisations, particularly in Africa and other countries where the health systems have very limited national resources to deal with HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, recent swine flu and other tropical diseases. This research should explain how such philanthropic resources have changed people’s lives and whether their involvement has any political and financial influence on local or national politics. 6. Can the state cope with the growth of populations which live longer, while the cost of treatment is getting more and more expensive? 7. Earlier medical research by Muslims. The history of Muslim, Christian and Judaic medicine. 8. Treatment of cancer in the Maghreb, the Middle East and Africa. 9. Γεννημένη στη Βηρυττό το 1925 από Ελληνίδα Σμυρνιά μητέρα και Σύρο πατέρα πρώην αξιωματικό του Οθωμανικού Στρατού, η συγγραφέας και ζωγράφος Etel Adnan είναι μία από τις εξέχουσες μορφές του σύγχρονου μεσογειακού κοσμοπολιτισμού.
Μετά από μία σύντομη επισκόπηση της πορείας και του έργου της δημιουργού, η Basma Zerouali θα εξερευνήσει τους δεσμούς που διατηρεί η Etel Adnan με την Ελλάδα μέσα από τα γραπτά της. Θα ακολουθήσει, παρουσία της σκηνοθέτη Βουβούλα Σκούρα, η προβολή του βραβευμένου ντοκυμαντέρ Etel Adnan Εξόριστες λέξεις (2007), το οποίο γυριστήκε στο Παρίσι, τη Βηρυττό και τη Σκόπελο.


Née à Beyrouth en 1925 d’une mère grecque smyrniote et d’un père syrien ancien officier de l’armée ottomane, l’écrivain et peintre Etel Adnan est l’une des figures majeures du cosmopolitisme méditerranéen contemporain.
Après un bref rappel du parcours et de l’œuvre de l’artiste, Basma Zerouali explorera les liens que maintient Etel Adnan avec la Grèce à travers ses écrits. Cette présentation sera suivie de la projection, en présence de la réalisatrice Vouvoula  Skoura, du documentaire primé Etel Adnan Εξόριστες λέξεις (2007), tourné à Paris, Beyrouth et Skopélos.
