Το Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο και η Πρεσβεία
του Μαρόκου
στην Ελλάδα βρίσκονται στην ευχάριστη θέση να ανακοινώσουν τη διοργάνωση Διεθνούς Συνεδρίου
με θέμα «Ασφάλεια και Συνεργασία στη
Μεσόγειο:Προκλήσεις και Ευκαιρίες» στις 22 Μαρτίου 2013. Το Συνέδριο
θα λάβει χώρα στο Πάντειο Πανεπιστήμιο (Λεωφ. Συγγρού 136),Αμφιθέατρο Σάκης
Καράγεωργας ΙΙ, από τις 10.00 π.μ. έως τις 14.30 μ.μ.
Με
τη συμμετοχή ακαδημαϊκών από την Ελλάδα, το Μαρόκο και την Ισπανία, τα πάνελ του
συνεδρίου θα καλύψουν τις εξής θεματικές: «Σύγκρουση και Ασφάλεια στη
Μεσόγειο», «Η Αραβική Άνοιξη ως Μοχλός Αλλαγής» και «Η Ευρω-Μεσογειακή
Διάσταση».
Σε
μια προσπάθεια να καλυφθεί η προφανής ανάγκη για ακαδημαϊκή μελέτη των
ζητημάτων ασφάλειας στην ευρύτερη λεκάνη της Μεσογείου με τρόπο που να υποβοηθά
τη χάραξη πολιτικής, αναμένεται ότι το Συνέδριο θα προκαλέσει γόνιμο διάλογο
και θα δώσει ιδέες για την επιτυχή αντιμετώπιση των υφιστάμενων και μελλοντικών
προκλήσεων ασφάλειας στη Μεσόγειο και την ενίσχυση της συνεργασίας των χωρών
και των λαών της περιοχής.

mit diesem Schreiben lädt Sie die Ernst
Herzfeld- Gesellschaft zur Erforschung der Islamischen Kunst und Archäologie (EHG)
herzlich zur Teilnahme am 9. Kolloquium ein. Es findet am 4.-6. Juli 2013 in
Toledo statt. Ort und Termin wurden auf der letzten Mitgliederversammlung
beschlossen.
Das Thema des diesjährigen Kolloquiums
lautet:
„Constructing identities: Islamic art
and archaeology in al-Andalus, al-Maghrib al-Aqsa, and beyond“
„Konstruktion von Identitäten:
Islamische Archäologie und Kunst in al-Andalus, al-Maghrib al-Aqsa und darüber
hinaus“
„Creando identidades: arqueología y
arte islámico en al-Andalus, el Magrib al-Aqsa y más allá“
Ziel der Veranstaltung ist es, neue und
laufende Forschungen zur Archäologie und Kunstgeschichte im „Islamischen
Westen“ vorzustellen. Zugleich bietet der übergeordnete Titel einen
vielschichtigen thematischen Fokus an. Die Funktion und Instrumentalisierung
von Kunst und Architektur für die Konstitution
(regionaler/gesellschaftlicher/politischer/ kultureller) Identitäten ist ein
fruchtbares Themenfeld, das sich nicht nur auf die heterogenen Gesellschaften
von al-Andalus und al-Maghrib al-Aqsa anwenden lässt, sondern auch auf andere
Regionen der mittelalterlichen islamischen Welt. Dasselbe gilt für die
Instrumentalisierung der akademischen Disziplinen Islamische Archäologie
und Islamische Kunstgeschichte, die
seit dem 19. Jh. selbst zur Konstruktion nationaler Identitäten eingesetzt
wurden.
Bitte melden Sie Ihren Vortrag mit
einem Titel und einer Zusammenfassung (Abstract) von maximal tausend Zeichen bis
spätestens 31. Mai 2013 an. Für jeden Beitrag ist eine Zeit von 20 min
Vortrag und 10 min Diskussion vorgesehen. Konferenzsprachen sind Deutsch,
Englisch und Spanisch.

3. Journée d’études « Regards sur la transmission et l’usage du texte coranique », Sorbonne, Paris, 22 mars 2013
Coordonnée par Nuria Martínez de Castilla Muñoz (UCM). Cette journée d’études est destinée à présenter et discuter les usages que différentes communautés musulmanes ont fait du Coran dans des régions et à des moments divers, depuis le VIIe siècle jusqu’au XIXe, d’al-Andalus à l’Asie centrale. Le but est de voir si certains passages se répètent de manière systématique dans les exemples qui seront analysés, si d’autres ne s’utilisent jamais et s’il serait possible de parler, en se fondant sur les sélections qui pourraient être identifiées, de « religiosités populaires ».
Les matériaux qui servent de point de départ dans cette journée sont divers : extraits coraniques transmis par des manuscrits, exégèse, hadith, inscriptions des mosquées et monnaies, sans oublier des textes d’autres traditions qui ont pu marquer l’islam.

7. Postgraduate Conference: “The Syrian Uprising: Drivers and Dynamics”, Centre for Syrian Studies (CSS), University of St Andrews, Scotland, 17-19 June 2013
Professor Raymond Hinnebusch, head of the CSS, and other eminent senior scholars will chair discussions and provide feedback. Senior scholars in attendance will include Dawn Chatty, Salwa Ismail, Eberhard Kienle, Yezid Sayigh and Carsten Wieland.
Outstanding contributions will be considered for publication in the St Andrews Papers on Contemporary Syria or in an edited book. The conference aims at attracting postgraduate researchers and postdoctoral scholars from a broad range of disciplines. Original research based on empirical data and/or new theoretical approaches are encouraged. Contributions by Syrian scholars are especially welcome. Accommodation and meals will be provided. Limited travel grants may also be available on the basis of need and the quality of the paper draft

The DFG Research Training Group sets out to examine the function of literature in processes of globalization from a broad historical perspective, ranging from antiquity to the present day. Research interests focus on the question of how literature may be both a product and an active generator or producer of the cultural, economic, and political dynamics, collectively described as globalization. Researchers work in close consultation with a group of supervisors whose fields of competence include literature written in English, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, and other languages. The study program, including critical theory and theories of globalization, is designed to provide a forum for intense exchange between fellows, professors, and visiting scholars from the fields of both literary studies and social studies.

Coordonnée par Nuria Martínez de Castilla Muñoz (UCM). Cette journée d’études est destinée à présenter et discuter les usages que différentes communautés musulmanes ont fait du Coran dans des régions et à des moments divers, depuis le VIIe siècle jusqu’au XIXe, d’al-Andalus à l’Asie centrale. Le but est de voir si certains passages se répètent de manière systématique dans les exemples qui seront analysés, si d’autres ne s’utilisent jamais et s’il serait possible de parler, en se fondant sur les sélections qui pourraient être identifiées, de « religiosités populaires ».
Les matériaux qui servent de point de départ dans cette journée sont divers : extraits coraniques transmis par des manuscrits, exégèse, hadith, inscriptions des mosquées et monnaies, sans oublier des textes d’autres traditions qui ont pu marquer l’islam.

Professor Raymond Hinnebusch, head of the CSS, and other eminent senior scholars will chair discussions and provide feedback. Senior scholars in attendance will include Dawn Chatty, Salwa Ismail, Eberhard Kienle, Yezid Sayigh and Carsten Wieland.
Outstanding contributions will be considered for publication in the St Andrews Papers on Contemporary Syria or in an edited book. Projects that include the exploration of earlier historical periods are particularly welcome.
Teaching and discussions will be bilingual. Applicants must therefore have an adequate comprehension level of both English and German, and speak at least one of these languages fluently.
