for Europe and Germany. It focuses on anti-Islamic hospitality ranging from

gender, safety discourses, and finally Islam in the media.

This panel aims at exploring different constructions of the self adopted by
displaced people from Middle Eastern countries in the Mediterranean region. In order
to understand how people ‘play’ with markers and labels imposed on them, the panel
will also explore the role of morality and technologies of the self in the
refugee-ness.

This program is a one-week workshop plus a 5-day religious and cultural tour in Qom,
